In this class, students will create and discuss visual art through cartooning & illustration art topics such as book, advertising and editorial illustration, game and animation concept art and design, and comic creation. This class will emphasize the art elements and principles of design, creative thinking, problem solving, drawing skills, and a variety of media. Subject matter will include human, animal and other inventive characters, creativity, and design processes. Other topics will include concept art, craft, sketchbook assignments, and art history topics.
