| Students took a look at what interrelated
artistic elements compose a marketable package design. The 7th/8th grade
Exploring Art class developed a design for a cotton seed package. The
students tried to predict the target market of this particular product
and then tried to create visual and verbal images that would attract
the prospective buyer. Through observation they tried various pictorial
elements, including using both real photographs and original artwork
in their designs. A teacher / student exchange of ideas and brainstorming
techniques were also used. The finished package designs were mocked-up
and real cotton seeds were enclosed in the final package design. |
