| Students created a computer generated piece
of art which reflected movement within the piece itself. They took a
close look at how artwork may be looked at as a piece of fine artwork
and how original art and designs may also be viewed as a piece of commercial
art. After researching contextual information on fine art sold in commercial
facilities, for example colorful and diverse art as sold in the House
of Blues, the students developed an original computer generated design
that reflected movement in art, stylized in part similar to the fine
artwork being found in this commercial establishment. Students could
share their own thoughts and ideas and personal responses to their individual
designs. Samples of the students work were exhibited on the wall so that
they could contrast, compare and visually and verbally critique one another’s
work. |
