| The students will be creating a cutting edge assignment on the computer using a variety of technical computer skills, as well as critical thinking skills. Typically this graphics technique was done by hand, using an xacto knife and actually cutting away part of the emulsion of a photo, or etching in a scratch board. The students will apply new technology to an old art form to come up with a unique and interesting high contrast image, stylized after the cutting edge techniques. The students will be able to predict the outcome of their work according to samples given to them and very specific directions. The use of hands-on computer materials will help to prepare the student to work through this assignment using their problem solving skills. |
