Computer Graphics - 7th / 8th grade Exploring Art
In Ms. Cline's 7th / 8th grade Exploring Art, students used Adobe Photoshop to create a mass of color which reflected the use and craftsman ship of many tools and special filter effects. This mixed media project allowed students to take their colorful printed image and mount it on a beveled edge mat board and using fine tip sharpie markers, enhance their final piece of work so that the seemingly abstract Photoshop image now took on a more expressionistic look as the students added ears, whiskers, eyes and tails to make a unique expressionistic cat scene. The students could draw on their background experiences of cats and expressions that they were familiar with to help create their own unique original design. Magnets were added as a finishing touch to the back of the mounted images.
